Flowers emerge as an angelic white and gradually age to red. It is a densely growing, compact Oakleaf Hydrangea maxing out at about 5’ tall and wide, whereas many older varieties can grow 10’ tall and wide. JetStream is now more versatile than ever, perfect for creating a wonderful flowering hedge, along the side of the home, mixed with other shrubs or in your perennial garden. Rich dark green foliage remains lustrous, never getting the rust that commonly destroys the look of many other hydrangeas. It will even turn a brilliant orange-red in fall.

More Information
General Product information

Oakleaf varieties produce blooms on old wood, so it is best to prune these types shortly after blooming and before August to be safe. If these stems creating the buds for next season are pruned and removed in early fall, then there is a high likelihood that you will have significantly fewer flowers if any the next summer. Please remember that pruning is completely different than simply removing spent blooms or dead wood. You can always simply remove any dead wood that exists in early spring once the plant has emerged and began to produce green foliage. This will help clean the plant up a bit from the winter season.
